Terry (Elaine Ridgway) Huss Schoeffler of Phoenix, AZ lived life to the fullest, every day, until her untimely death on April 24, 2007 at age 60. Her peaceable spirit was born in San Diego, CA on September 20, 1946. A spirit renewed by periodic trips with her family to Crystal Pier and walks on the beach.
Terry’s life was shaped by adversity. Marriage, Motherhood and divorce left her a single Mother in certain hardship at a young age. Tenacity and perseverance were the foundation for her success. Terry’s love and compassion fused a bond between Mother and Child, Tricia Ann Brown, never to be broken. To know that kind of love is uncommon, to experience it again is truly a blessing. That blessing is Paul Richard Schoeffler, Jr., loving husband and father of 27 years.
Terry graduated from Washington High School in 1964. Her commitment to lifetime friendships fortified her drive to organize their reunions. Convinced of the importance of education’s role in the security of her family, Terry earned her bachelor degree in Finance at ASU. She used these skills as a Bank Investment Officer with United Bank and a Computer-Leasing Analyst.
Later in her career, she was able to combine these skills with her propensity for philanthropy. As a Project Manager for the Foundation for Senior Living and Maricopa County, Terry worked diligently to match people and communities with needed funding. She helped people find the safety and security in their homes giving them the opportunity to strive toward a better life. Even as a Mary Kay representative, she realized the power of positively affecting individuals through building self esteem. Terry always made time to support those in need.
Joy and delight in more recent years had been realized through line dancing with the Sundance Wranglers Performing Dance Group, painting beautiful art, traveling with family and visiting with friends.
She is survived by her ever so loving husband Paul Richard Schoeffler, Jr., dog Rosie, daughter Tricia Brown, son-in-law Todd Brown, grandchildren Austin Ridgway Brown, and Parker Reese Brown, sister Barbara Cain, brother Ric Ridgway and dear extended family and friends.
